About
Seven Hills Wrestling Club is a shared USA Wrestling club built for every current Richmond Public Schools student. Our purpose is simple: make wrestling accessible, reduce the burden on individual schools, and help every Richmond wrestling program grow.
Why We Exist
Many Richmond schools have small wrestling programs with limited resources. By combining into one city-wide club, we share coaching responsibilities, training space, and competition opportunities so no single school carries the full load. The result is a stronger foundation for every wrestler in the district.
What We Value
- Accessibility — Free for all Richmond Public Schools (RPS) students; the only cost is a USA Wrestling card
- Development — Focused on building skills, not burning athletes out
- Inclusion — Open to every experience level, background, and school in the district
- Collaboration — Coaches, volunteers, and families working together across schools
Our Approach
We meet once a month on a rotating Thursday schedule hosted at a different Richmond high school each week. Sessions prioritize technique, drilling, and match awareness over conditioning. Every athlete gets meaningful mat time in a supportive environment where questions are welcome and growth is the goal.
Our Mission
Lower every barrier to wrestling for Richmond Public Schools students and build a program that every school, family, and athlete in the city can be proud of.
